Travel Companiont Ours images of an image

The Inside Passage is a coastal route for ships and boats along a network of passages which weave through the islands on the Pacific Northwest coast of the North American Fjordland taken by many Alaskan cruise ships.

Travel Companiont Ours images of a volcano

The largest national forest in the country, Tongass National Forest, blankets the entire southeast Alaska portion of the Inside Passage, and many glaciers can still be seen. Many adventurous cruisers join an Inside Passage Alaska cruise visit or view majestic glaciers viewed from the Alaskan cruise ships.

Carved out by glaciers during the last ice age, it's characterized by more than 1,000 islands and islets, coves, fjords and coastal towns, each with its own character can be see on these inland passage cruises.

The average cruise through the Inside Passage takes around seven days, but you can go beyond the cruise with shore excursions featuring an array of outdoor adventures (kayaking, fishing, and bear viewing, to name a few) on the inland passage cruises.

Travel Companiont Ours images of a dish in plate

It was a great time! The guides were full of interesting stories and facts about the area and about crabs.

They took us out on a boat and  pulled up a crab pot full of crabs. It was fun to hold the crabs and learn about them.
Back at the lodge when they say all you can eat crabs, wow, they mean just that! So many delicious crabs with butter to dip them into! They even give great instructions on how to crack them. The salad was great too, plus a. cheese cake dessert.

Witnessed from our Alaskan cruise tour.

Our cruise ship was anchored steps away from downtown Ketchikan making for an easy tour of the town.

When all was over, we cruised away in the sunset.

Quite beautiful and a great time there! Witnessed from our Alaskan cruise tour.
