We're arriving in the port on Athens, (Piraeus), Greece cruising and enjoying our 10th day traveling on our luxury cruise ship, Celebrity Beyond.

Athens is the capital of Greece. It was also at the heart of Ancient Greece, a powerful civilization and empire.

 The city is still dominated by 5th-century BC landmarks, including the Acropolis, a hilltop citadel topped with ancient buildings like the colonnaded Parthenon temple in 

Piraeus, Athens, Greece.

Naples is a city full of surprises, surprising you every time you visit. Yes, because the truth is that once is not enough to say you know it. Even Neapolitans themselves are amazed every day by something new. 

It's the most glamorous island in the Mediterranean and one of the most visited in the world; Naples, Italy.

The Port of Piraeus is the chief sea port of Athens, located on the Saronic Gulf on the western coasts of the Aegean Sea, the largest port in Greece and one of the largest in Europe;

Piraeus isn't only known for its historical significance; it's also home to numerous restaurants, shops, bars and nightclubs where locals and tourists alike gather every evening.

The Panathenaic Stadium or Kallimarmaro is a multi-purpose stadium in Athens, Greece. One of the main historic attractions of Athens, it is the only stadium in the world built entirely of marble.

Originally, since the 6th century BC, a racecourse stood at the site. It hosted the Panathenaic Games(also known as the Great Panathenaea), a religious and athletic festival celebrated every four years in honour of the goddess Athena. The racecourse had no formal seating and the spectators sat on the natural slopes on the side of the ravine.

Most commonly known in Greek as Hadrian's Gate.

Construction of the elegant temple of Erechtheion in Pentelic marble (421–406 BC) was by a complex plan which took account of the extremely uneven ground and the need to circumvent several shrines in the area. The entrance, facing east, is lined with six Ionic columns. Unusually, the temple has two porches, one on the northwest corner borne by Ionic columns, the other, to the southwest, supported by huge female figures or caryatids in

Like most Ancient Greek sites, the buildings of the Acropolis are in ruins. There are 4 structures still standing: the Parthenon, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion, and the Propylaia. These structures date from the 5th century BC, making them a few thousand years old! 

Many conservation and restoration efforts are occurring to ensure that the structures remain standing for many years to come in Athens, Greece.

 The Acropolis in Athens, Greece! The Acropolis, which means “city top” or “citadel”,  served as the administrative and religious center of Athens. The Athenian Acropolis rises nearly 500 feet over the city and has a surface area of about 7 1/2 acres, which is pretty huge!

Piraeus is a port city within the Athens urban area, in the Attica region of Greece. It is located eight kilometres southwest of Athens' city centre, along the east coast of the Saronic Gulf in the Athens Riviera in

Naples, or Napoli for Italians, is a major port city in the south of Italy in the Campania region. With 4.4 million inhabitants ('Neapolitans'), it is the third largest city in Italy. The chaotic city has everything for an inspiring city trip because of the rich history, the Italian cuisine and especially in the field of art and culture, the city has a lot to offer in

Naples city has a history of about 3000 years and is one of the culturally richest cities in Europe. Although the messy city initially has a somewhat dilapidated and neglected appearance, the city has many beautiful churches, museums and monuments. In addition, it is the city of pizza, espresso and football legend Diego Maradona

Higher up in Napoli city is Vomero. From this district you have an amazing view of the center of Naples. Vomero is by no means boring, because here too there are cozy bars and restaurants with important sights nearby. Again, you will have an incredibly beautiful view of the city. Vomero is a neighborhood to escape the bustle of the center for a while.

On our way to the Plaka district  the oldest neighborhood in Athens, and what adds to that feel, even more, are all of the amazing ruins that you can stumble upon while wandering around. The most important archaeological site is surely the Ancient and Roman Agora.

At the top of a flight of steps, Saint Andrew's Cathedral(Duomo) overlooks the Piazza Duomo, the heart of Amalfi. The cathedral dates back to the 11th century; its interior is adorned in the late Baroque style with a nave and two aisles divided by 20 columns. The façade of the cathedral is Byzantine in style and is adorned with various paintings of saints, including a large fresco of Saint Andrew.
